One thing to note, as great as YouTube tutorials are, there is a stark difference between reality and tutorials. Tutorials always go smoothly and they are done in a few minutes. But unless you are a lucky old man, there will be a rusted screw, a piece that won’t come off, or something that breaks while fixing the original problem. At least if you are me…

How did I end up resting a heavy sink on one leg while unscrewing stubborn faucet knobs from the wall and saying more choice words than I would care to admit? It started with the toilet needing to be replaced, and ended in a total remodel.
Does anyone else have that one bathroom in your house that smells like a sewer no matter what you do? We decided to get a new toilet for our guest bathroom, but wanted to check for leaks and damage so we pulled up the flooring too. We found some damage so we painted it with mold protection and then put the floor back down and the toilet on. That was all fairly normal, if a little difficult because of the flooring, but in order to take the LVP tiles in and out, I had to move our pedestal sink, which is not my favorite kind of sink. Being the independent woman that I am, I was trying to put the flooring on before my husband got home. However, I didn’t support the sink without the pedestal and it fell out of the wall. I caught it because I am that cool… but as mentioned, it was not ideal and If only there had been a camera to catch what must have been an incredibly comical series of events and expressions.
